Privacy Policy
This policy explains what ExDivvy (“we”) collects when you use exdivvy.com, why, and the choices you have. We keep it short because we collect little.
What we collect
- Account details. When you create an account we store your email address and, if you provide one, your first name. Sign-in is handled by Clerk, which may also store your name, profile picture, and sign-in method if you use Google.
- What you save. Your watchlists: the tickers you star and any share counts you enter. Without an account, this lives only in your browser’s local storage and never reaches us.
- Email preferences. Whether you receive the morning digest, and when it was last sent.
- Technical data. Our hosting provider, Vercel, records standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested) for security and reliability. We do not run advertising trackers or third-party analytics scripts.
Cookies and local storage
We use one essential cookie, set by Clerk, to keep you signed in. We use your browser’s local storage to remember your watchlist and a few view preferences. We set no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, so there is no cookie banner to click through.
How we use it
- To run the service: show your watchlist across devices and keep you signed in.
- To email you: a welcome message when you sign up, and a weekday digest of your watchlist, which you can turn off with one click in any email.
- To keep the site secure and working.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing.
Who processes it for us
- Clerk for accounts and sign-in.
- Vercel for hosting and storage.
- Neon for the database that holds watchlists and email preferences.
- Resend for sending email.
Each processes data only to provide its service to us, under its own security commitments. Data is stored in the United States.
Your choices
- Digest. Turn it off from the link in any email.
- Delete your account. Sign in and use “Delete my account” on the account page. This removes your login, your watchlists, and your email record. It cannot be undone.
- Your data. Email us and we will send you what we hold about you, or correct it.
If you are in California, the EU, the UK, or another place with a privacy law, these rights apply to you and we honor requests within 30 days. We do not discriminate against anyone for exercising them.
Retention
We keep your account data until you delete your account. Server logs are kept by our hosting provider for a limited period for security purposes.
Children
ExDivvy is not directed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will update the date above and, for material changes, email account holders.
